Since I moved to a city with no casino within a 170 mile radius, semi retired, my BJ habits have changed. Where I used to go play BJ whenever I felt like it and mostly day trips, I now have to plan 2-3 day trips away from home.

To to make it short, this month was the best I had. 6 trips or a total of 15 days this month, spent 140-160 or so hours in casinos during my trips, won on 5 of 6 trips, total win of over $7k with the losing trip of only $700.

I am trying to deal with the overconfidence after my return from my last trip yesterday. Luckily, I have been through it so I am not doing something crazy but thoughts of spending/splurging, of believing that I have finally figured out this game and I am going to be a winner from now on and invincibility plague my thoughts.
I have also had bad losses in months past where I have thought of quitting so I guess it's a roller coaster and not like I have suddenly become a great AP.

My BR is now $42k, I play $25-$300 spreads and was wondering what BR I should settle on if I play BJ only for recreational monies, have no desire to play at higher stakes? Is a $40k BR enough to try and maintain and when I have over, I can plan on splurging, taking a vacation, buying the spouse something, etc.?
