    Spanish 21

Does anyone here also count Spanish 21? I taught myself to do it over a couple days, just wondering how you would calculate ev since cvcx doesnt do spanish, and what kind of heat i can expect from playing spanish instead of bj. I like the idea of having both games in my arsenal so that when a place has both i can choose the one with higher ev =)
May the Variance be with you.

You need CVData to sim SP21.

The standard US H17 like the venetian has. Really interested in the heat it gets compared to bj. Do most casinos know that its countable?

Get Katrina Walkers book "The Pro's guide to Spanish 21". She goes through how to set up CVdata for Spanish. She also has some sim results for different games.

The H17 game without the redouble is not very good. EV much less than blackjack. I wouldn't play it.

If you can find the H17 with redouble or the S17 version then maybe it could be worth it If you have enough casinos that offer the game.

The heat on H17 with redouble version is relatively low, but table max is usually $300 or less.

I have her book. Is that the only material on the market?

    Pretty close to bj nowadays.

How do you determine if it allows redouble? Only way is to ask, or is listed on the table?

Occasionally a casino will have a printed game description. Otherwise ask the dealer if you can "double double". Don't rely on CBJN reporting for SP21 in CA. It's better for WA and AZ.

Scoblete has a book that's not worth purchasing.

I do not recall anything penned/published by "Scobe" that is worth reading.

This book is entitled "The Armada Strategy - for Spanish21"

This book tells Basic Strategists that the game is NOT "countable."

I think that even the Basic Strategies presented are presented with errors.

"Scobe" has a book that is really putrid - "I am a card Counter."

This junk has no redeeming value whatsoever. Self aggrandizement is all that it is.

There are more important factors that should override your "higher e.v."

Table conditions are multi-faceted. The best choice is generally not "higher e.v."
