I played my first session in many months after losing my previous 10 sessions, three of which were trip bustouts of $2k or more with a max of $100 per hand. Up to that point, I no longer believed that this game was winnable.

In the meantime, I made about $13k this calendar year playing poker.

I finally broke my losing streak, was up $130 at the end (woohoo!). But I was still behind for all but the last 10 minutes of the 3-hr session and was at one point $800 in the hole. In fact, I won one of my first 14 hands.

I was rusty with my moves and made at least one index error which cost me $40... wasn't impressed.

Penetration and rules hadn't changed. There was minimal heat, and they even tolerated me Wonging out at -1 (and not coming back until +1).

I am probably going to be leaving the city I am residing in next summer and heading north. Henceforth are no opportunities to play any form of 21 in any viable way anywhere else within four or five hours' flight.
