Comp city - Getting the RFB

Dealing with heat is stressful for me. I am trying to learn poker so I don't have to deal with heat all the time, but in the mean time, I want to try a different strategy - play rated with a break even spread in blackjack, and get the EV from mailers instead of from the tables. It seems like my chance of getting backed off should be minimal. (I was quite discouraged though when a place backed me off last week after analyzing my play on a 6 deck game with a 50-200 spread, and then decided to back me off. I think I was probably in their system already from a sister property back off.) I only have a bad rep at 3 or so chains though, and might not even be in OSN but not sure.

Anyways, how do you maximize the mailers and free stuff when playing rated? Is session length important? Is it a bad idea to play every day? Should I only play once or twice a week, or even less often, so they don't think they have me "hooked" and need to give me free stuff to keep me coming back? Should I come back soon after a big loss or wait a while? Is it common for places to give you free room and food any time you want?

Any mailers or comps are calculated by average bet × lenght of play.
Some shops can based on loss but generally it's the tehorical win.

BJ is a poor choice of game for Comps.

What I would do to generate comps is pick a casino you haven't visited in a long time. Play a machine that gives the house a decent edge at a decent coin in and play for hours for a few visits and then don't play anymore until the mailers hit. If the casino gives good mailers you should eventually receive mailers that far exceed your losses for a quarter year or so. If the casino doesn't value your play you just wasted whatever exposure you had in an attempt to generate mailers. You should pick a casino that is close enough to home to drive to. Being considered a local increases the mailers' value and the mailers will likely be spread out over the month the mailer covers. To take advantage of the investment you need to be able to play there a lot to get the cash value of the mailers. You just want to run the offer through and cash out. Do not play any cashable credits. Then when the mailer loses enough value you stop going for 6 months or so and start the process over again. I did this at a local store. I lost over $2K in 3 visits. It took 3 months for the offers to start. I have cashed out well over $10K in mailers but the gravy train is slowing. It actually took a few months of mailers for them to hit their peak. Now they are almost not worth the drive. I have shown them other play that they perceive they have an advantage on. The mailers have lasted for 6 months so far.

I don't know why you always contradict other authors? In Comp City the author mention that Blackjack is the vehicle that is use to navigate through the table game comp system. If Blackjack is a poor game for comps I have a difficulty understanding why Max Rubin would state that "It's the only table game that's guaranteed to win you comps time after time. In Comp City the game it mention to play for comps is Blackjack and only Blackjack. As it is stated clearly on page 35 of the book.

The basic concept for maximizing comps involves playing a prefect game of blackjack, manipulating bosses, masking bets, and slowing down the game. As it is stated in the book.

Because Comp City was written decades ago when the Comp situation was quite different. I believe the most recent edition was copyrighted in 1994.

My point is still valid. Casino comps went to hell after the economy tanked in 2008.

Tthree is most certainly correct in stating that
    "Comp's went to hell ..."

I suggest you start yelling at the table like i do and tell the dealer and pit boss to actually become educated and stop cutting off so many cards instead of being a mindless shill. Bunch of brain dead mindless drones running these casinos these days. If only they realized cutting off 1 deck or less on shoe games would increase their hold and substantially increase their profit, instead of sweating counters and cutting off 2 decks or more every time. But what else is knew, you got a bunch of brain dead scum running these casinos. "Oh my god, hes counting cards, lets back him off, i just cant take it anymore, hes such a threat with his puny 1-2% advantage, he wins every time!"

What these idiots dont understand is there's so many other positive indirect factors to letting a counter play and not backing them off in front of other customers. Backing off counters and 86'ing them is just bad business for casinos, but i guess they'll never learn. They just dont understand, there's just not many counters there who are a legitimate real threat to casinos. Simply by continuing to cut off so many cards, all they're doing is hurting themselves. They must still think it's the 70's and 80's with deeply dealt single deck games, and even then they shouldnt sweat it. If I was a high level exec of these stores, id double their profit in a heartbeat.

Keep sweating counters you idiot pit bosses and shift managers. God forbid, card counters just win every time! We must back them all off, god forbid!! OH MY GOD, HE JUST RAISED HIS BET TEN FOLD AND WON BOTH HANDS! OH MY GOD HE JUST SPREAD TO TWO HANDS? LETS STARE HIM DOWN AND BACK HIM OFF! YEA THATS THE TICKET!!

I think next time i will take my chips and just throw it at the pit bosses face. I just cant take their stupidity anymore. Every single shoe game in the country should be S17, DAS, LS, RSA and 1 deck or less cutoff. But, what else is new in a society of braindead uneducated people who just look at their phones all day with an IQ of 10 who cant even boil an egg. These idiots are more worried about what their next facebook status is gonna be or taking a picture on instagram of their dinner plate or providing play by play on facebook of how their dog just took a major dump in the backyard.
