Interesting to note that the cameras used by the EITS are extremely good. Makes me second guess the standard advice of not going to the cage after heat or a back-off because "they will get the best picture of you." I would say that ship already sailed....

Be especially careful in new or recently renovated casinos as you can expect their surveillance equipment and facilities to be state of the art.

There are 9 photos of me in my OSN profile (one is of my car though), and NON of them were taken from the cage. Most of them were taken when I was sitting at the tables, a few of them were when I was walking around or in/out of the casino, and the last one is an actual copy of my driver's license.

ALL photos (except for maybe one) look really good. The best photos I think came from sitting at the tables.

Without a doubt surveillance can get much better pictures else where if they are already looking at you

One of the videos on BigJer's site had an interview with a detective hired by one of the agencies. Either Griffin or OSN. They stalked casinos trying to spot AP's and photographed them and followed them around trying to get more info about them and known associates. They probably have their sources in town and just need your movements and were you are staying or your rental car info to get your name. I tried to find it to link to it but it was part of the info that was never recovered yet after some of the troubles BigJer has had getting the site stable.

All my OSN pictures are of me sitting at the table, never at the cage. I can assure you that all this "facial recognition" BS the casinos like to trump up is not true. I have been trespassed, 86ed, banned from blackjack from numerous places who supposedly have state of the art security features, and facial recognition, and have gone back (albeit a year or so later) playing at the table without a problem with my face clearly visible. The only time you could potentially have a problem is when they zoom in on you because you aroused suspicion for whatever reason because of something you did.

I feel like every once in awhile they throw these super great surveillance documentaries out there to scare you because of how poor their surveillance is in reality. If it was so state of the art, why would they want to advertise that so you could potentially exploit it? I think these documentaries are more of a deterrent for people to not go and try to cheat them, trying to have you believe they see everything. When in reality, the people up there have IQ's probably below average, and get paid $10 an hour to watch a TV screen.

I would totally agree with Stealth that the newer properties are gonna be tougher to play at. The only place I ever was backed off at before I even sat down was SLS, the newest built casino. A teammate of mine also got the tap at SLS after flat betting one shoe because the count never went up, and this was at SLS too. However this may have been because they have such little going on so they can be more alert and focused, but I can't be certain for sure. But one has to assume the newer built, the better technology. I'm really interested to see how sophisticated the surveillance technology will be at the Wynn and MGM's they are building on the east coast in MA and DC.

My travels allow me to play there regularly. No heat at my level of play. But the pen is very inconsistent. Often I've found it best (5/6) at the $10 table, but you have to play it crowded. No problems spreading $10 to 2 x $150 thus far...

Yeah, that's why all this super-duper high tech casino surveillance stuff all has me skeptical that in actually works in practice. But then again these outfits in PA aren't run by experts like Wynn and MGM, which is why I am going to be very curious as to their game protection procedures, and how they use their new technology when they open up.

this was more updating cameras to HD...useful for many other shenanigans besides counters....you are correct, these small stores aren't run by experts by any means....if you win (large) or spread (large) they will review the tape VERY SLOWLY to figure it out...then grab your license plate....that's their #1 tool at keeping both casino and individual banned folks from playing - works for me since I use rentals...and never play rated

Yep. That's the best way to deal with LPRS. What good is your name if you never give it and the plate is worthless if you show up in a different vehicle next time. If you show up in the same a vehicle with the plate on the blacklist they know you are there before you even get out of your car. Guess what happens you you pass the security guards at an entry pinch point.

Make sure your rental car contract is in your hotel vs your rental car.
