It is an idiot move in my book. Why waste my time? I like the certainty of the 21 enough that there isn't a high enough EV difference to make me double, especially when you consider the heat factor. Like I said only an idiot or a slash and burn player would do this. I doubt the latter would do it either but you never know. Many can only consider maximizing EV. It never occurs to them to maximize the certainty of BR growth.

Aside from the EV, that as Gram showed is QUITE minute, why in the world would you want to bring THAT MUCH ATTENTION to your table if you were to do this. I have seen it maybe...........twice..........tried in my entire blackjack life. Once by a drunk; once by an idiot who doubled and split damn near anything no matter what the dealer's card. And there was so much attention..........by the pit...........by the dealer..........by others at the table as to WHY IN THE WORLD would you do this?
Even given what ZenFlash states about some state's jurisdiction, this play will NEVER go without attention. The dealer will call it out; question you; the pit will question you AND anyone else at the table will question you. It's not worth it. Period.
