Cutting cards when bottom card is seen...

There are a few dealers at a few casinos I play that reveal the bottom card as they take the DD out of the ASM to offer for cutting. Playing heads up, I can easily cut a 10 value card into play and a small card out of the play. Unsure how to cut when a 7-9 is seen. When 2 or more players are at the table, unfortunately, I cannot cut the Ace to myself.

The question is how beneficial is this? Should I remain at the DD game if another player joins or opt for another table where I can play heads up but not see the bottom card for cutting purposes.

I assume that starting a DD game knowing that a 2-5 card is out of play means I can start RC at +1. If another player cuts and a ten or Ace is cut out of play, the starting RC is -1.

I am sure all of you have come across this phenomena. Could you share how you deal with it?

It's more information. That has a small amount of value.

I'm a little disappointed with the replies thus far - not very helpful.

Zee - this represents a very good opportunity. Think creatively. Hint: practice cutting exactly x number of cards from the bottom of the deck so you can do it every time. And when you get a flash of the bottom card coming out of the ASM, you should be reaching for the cut card as the dealer presents it to the table.

Beneficial? Perhaps, however, you're preaching to the wrong choir.

The problem is that they never let you cut that close to the end. I rarely play DD so maybe the do but I would think they guard against such opportunities.

OK, card steering can be very profitable when done by a practiced team of specialist. The very high ev value of a first card ace (50+%) and a ten makes this a valuable play. The ability to "make the play" is best done with partners and playing multiple hands and willing to bet very large (Table max). Player ability to place cut card at highly accurate positions is required.

Not well suited for lone wolf player unless you can steer the card to where you want it. Example: A/10 value card to your hand 4,5,6 to dealer and away from your hand.

Not sure you understand the implementation of the concept. Cutting close to the end is not necessary to beat the play.

    If we can

1.Get control of the cut card
    2. Get control of the table (spots)
    3. Bottom card is available 90+% of the time
    4. They will let us bet large (table max)

then this game can be killed.

I do understand steering and have witnessed demonstrations by people that could do amazing things beyond what most can do. But we are talking about Zee here. He won't put in the training necessary to be able to duplicate the master's demonstration of the skill of tracking, locating and steering the card. He won't even learn more indices.

OK, but your post did not direct your response to Zee and his skill level, it was a statement that the value of the situation was not there due to an inability to cut the cards deep. That is not based in fact.

I did not attempt to "train" Zee on the process but to answer his questions with enough detail to let him know it is not easy.

It sounds like you aware of the over ridding technical aspects of this play but not so much the actual implementation. Betting properly to take advantage of the knowledge is critical to success. Further discussion on exact details are better left in PM.

if you can not understand what is going on here then don't bother trying as it is harder than it looks . you can get wipe out easily if you don't have the skill and bankroll . Easier said than done . Let 's just put an end to this . It is not like it have not been talked about by the other site . No point keep bringing it up as it is still a sensitive topic. i know of 3 people got barred because of it,so what is the point of going on and on. zee have your looked at all the old archives on various sites(does not seemed like it) ,there are many topics discussed. You just want a straight up answer without any "foot" work.
