    Any Tunica regulars here?

I often went to Tunica on weekends when I was working but almost never during the middle of the week during the middle of a work day. I am now retired and the week gets to be boring in Nashvile. I was thinking of a trip in the middle of the week but was told the casinos are quite dead during the week, that HL rooms are closed, that some red chip tables are empty and you are noticed if you play green chips and win anything.

wondering if any regular Tunca players here would comment.

Tunica is 4 hours from my place. The other casinos, one at Evansville, IN, the other st Metropolis, IL are about 3 hours away.

    Gotta find some other hobby.

I remember years ago hearing about a local AP bingo player.

Zee, before you go do not forget, make sure you remember to memorize all those important negative true five indices in preparation for the high limit rooms.

BoSox, out in the Midwest, you can find $25 minimum games in the HL rooms. Many a ploppy sits at $25 min games on main floor but fewer in the same game in the HL rooms. I am told that in Tunica, the HL minimum during midweek can also be a $25 game.

I just know HiLo I-18 but am increasing to a few more indexes.

Because I was wondering if I was in denial, that I was addicted, that I was spending more time at casinos than with family when I don't need to (recreational player). Unfortunately, I don't have enough self discipline. If I want to lose weight, I try not to be near food (don't keep ice cream or desserts in my frig). If I don't want to cheat on my spouse, I stay away from strip bars.

Basically, moving to Nashville means I cannot go to a casino daily. It's now a trip every week or so, not daily.

You don't live even near a city where you can play. You love the game and will put up with all the crap that goes along with it. Why? Because you are in pursuit of money but really don't care enough to make the necessary sacrifices or exercise discipline.
Moses, I am not in a major pursuit for money. I like the game, I enjoy the challenge, if I can do better than break even I am happy. It's like golf. You want to play but not so much that you go to a driving range every day after work, run to the golf courses every weekend at the expense of family and friends.

I am in retirement, have about $60k a year in pension and social security and no debts. BJ is a hobby. If I can make the expenses I am happy. If I get $5k to $15k a year after expenses and play about 200 hours a year, it's fine for me.

Not really. It's not my email address. Any emails will get forwarded to me by the person whose account it is. He knows that I am using it just for this site and it's unlikely there would be too many emailing me at that address.

I have another disposable account but I don't check it often. It's a gmail account. Then there is my own account which is off the record.

This is where you rub people the wrong way. I'm out in the hot sun practicing on a putting two hours before my tee time. You are sitting in the clubhouse asking every golfer that walks by "hey, how do I improve my golf game?"
I don't ask anyone who does not want to help me improve my game. I am not asking you. I post and you need to have the discipline you claim to have and avoid responding. Not every golfer at a local golf course is doing what you are doing. Don S or Tarzan or Tthree don't have the need to respond to every thread.
