    Question for Norm

Norm, I assume you have been the manager of this forum for a very very long time. Have you done an analysis of participation on this forum..

I mean stuff like what percentage of posters are still here from 3,5, 10 years ago, how many newbie's who first logged on, still log on, how many never logged on after their first, nth, metc.,what percentage actually post and such. Any conclusions possible?

Nope. Web stats are highly misleading. I stopped looking at them a decade ago and didn't bother to install any stat packages on the new server.

And if you need to know what Norm is thinking, just check the ZG site. Telepathy is an amazing tool.

If you wanted to (I'm not sure how Norm would feel about the increase of web traffic though), you could write a piece of code to go through each thread/post, noting the poster and date....then draw your own conclusions. I imagine it wouldn't be too terribly difficult to write, either.

Wouldn't have any effect on performance. All posts are cached in memory, CPU usage hovers around 3%, and we have a 10Gb Internet connection. Not sure how some members would feel about their actions being monitored.

Norm, have a dumb question. Was looking at the ZG site yesterday, and the message on my iPad when I returned to my hotel room last night is as shown below. Is that the hotel blocking me, or is that the ZG blocking me.

This happens every few months just after the first of the month. They always claim it was me doing something.
