Boz just like to argue no matter what. That was his personality. He believed 1+1 = 3.

    Close, but not close enough.

My impression, Boz knows that 1 + 1 is not equal to 3, but rather, he believes that he can convince people that don't know the difference, to believe that 1 + 1 = 3. Sort of like:

There's no evidence, no sign of removed posts, no indicator of banned status.... Is this some sort of secret ban?

He was trolling. I deleted the posts. You cannot see them. His profile and every single one of his posts says he is banned or suspended. The bannings thread in the Subscribers area says he was banned. This is far more info than bj21 provides when they ban someone. All of their bannings are "secret". Which, is probably the correct way to handle bans.

Neither. Many many sim results have been in for years. That doesn't mean I will share them in an open forum. Many of the top posters here have seen the results. You should stop worrying about a count you will never be able to use and focus on what you can use. I shared a lot about my count in the archives. I use it where my techniques where they are worth the most. If you are interested in reading about it check the archival posts. I have said enough. Many don't believe my results are possible others know better. Everything has been said lets move on. If you want to be a nay sayer that is your right but stop baiting me. It is counterproductive to the forum.

Playing alone, as in "with all your friends again", Moses? Couldn't resist. LOL But we have all encountered the all knowing, "The book says: " espousers or kibitzers. I like to shut them up and ask............."which book?" Most can not name a good treatise.

Wouldn't bet the Sooners to win; team in too much flux. But think they can make the playoffs again IF, and this is a BIG IF..........they get past Houston and Ohio State in first three games. But I just don't have a great feeling yet..............

While some say the DD game is closer to shoe games than SD, I tend to think in my experience that DD is closer to single deck in these days and times. I know that Lone Wolf likes to be argumentative but I tend to at least agree with his statement that a simpler count seems to work better with the shoe games/multi-deck games and side counts or more complicated counts will work better with the pitch games. I personally enjoy the DD games that we have more than the shoe games. But unlike Vegas, they are not "hawked" as much as there.

Wonder what would happen if a counter pulled out a condensed version of the bible (5 books of Moses, or Koran, ow whatever) when such stupidity is put on display by a ploppy of dealer, and ask them, "Is this the book? If so, where can I find that commandment in here? If not, which book did you mean? Can I use your copy?"

Guess I might be a tad combative, but ya gotta admit, seeing their head spin faster than Linda Blair in The Exorcist, would be a hoot!

UPDATE: Yesterday stopped by local joint, playing 6D game. 6 spots on table, and I was playing seats 5 and 6. Guy to my left was a crusty, old, legally blind Archie Bunker style bigot (hates everyone equally, some more than others). To his left, at seat 2, was a pregnant, late twenties something, who kept asking if she should hit, stand, double or split. The dealer seemed like a nice kid (20+ dealing for 2 years), but kept telling her what the book recommended. I kept my mouth shut for over an hour, until he tokd her that the book actually says that a player should split their pair of 4s against a 10.

I went ballistic (well not that bad, but quite animated). Asked him if he knew the author of the "Book", the title of the "Book". Asked if they now had a little shop on sight where I could buy the "Book". Or if the "Book" was the Bible, the Torah, the Koran, the Book of Mormon, or something else. The floor person heard my whole outburst, was laughing hysterically, came over to the table, and while still snickering, told the pregnant woman to stop listening to the dealer for idiotic suggestions for playing her hands, go home and download a basic strategy card from the internet, and they would let her use it at the tables. He turned to the dealer, couldn't contain himself, laughed and walked away. Btw, he told her most people just hit that hand. She caught a 10, stood and lost to dealer's 20 (Ace with 9 under).

Thought that I might have put an end to my time at that casino, but the floor person didn't reach for the phone to the EITS (no heat), nor did he walk back to my table the rest of that session. Guess my ragging on the idiotic comment from the dealer, made his day. Hopefully next visit, I can still play.

    But man, that was fun!

He still showed up as an active friend. Maybe there's something to fix in the system there...

That's so weird!! When you banned him the first time (which was the second time) you left almost all but the hateful (or whatever) posts up but on the day he came back I was watching the forum a lot and he literally made like two posts... As far as I'm concerned, this was a secret and self-interested ban on your part that couldn't have been like you are saying it was. You gave him a third chance or fourth or whatever and then you cut him for good because you didn't like that he was posting to ZZ and still addressing T3's claims of mathematical superiority and you had to honor your arbitrary 5-day exile to be seen as just. Basically, and with all due respect, I'm saying I believe fervently that you are lying, sir.

I don't understand what your infatuation with Boz is? The guy was very argumentative and pretty much trolling everyone. A good example was the Ohio Gaming Comission/MO thread. He was provided with plenty evidence (including a part of the actual gaming commission written law), yet he still wanted to argue his point to death, and so he continued to beat that dead horse. Not to mention, after the thread had been closed, he proceeded to start a new thread just so he could continue to beat that horse. Despite the fact that the law is written clearly in black and white (in the case of MO) and he also has ZERO experience in that state, he still continued to argue the subject non-stop. Annoying. That pretty much sums up his attitude that he portrayed in almost every other thread he participated in, which is why I'm assuming he was banned.

In terms of contributions, there's plenty of other more qualified APs to look up to/learn from on this site. Trust me, life will go on after Boz, here on BJTF. I don't think we're missing much, due to his absence.

Never start a forum. It will cause you nothing but grief from Internet, hate-filled, monomaniacal miscreants who will invest years of their lives seeking vengeance for some perceived slight. Mike has the same problem at WoV as did Ken at his site before he said the Hell with it and shut it down. In olden days, Sam and Mike ran into a similar problem, and shut down RGBM. BJ21 had the same problem with its free forums. There were several, highly active forums. The admin came under heavy attack, outing his photo and license plate to casinos. They had to send a lawyer after the instigator, shut down the forums for a month, mass deleted every post, and restarted with one very quiet forum.

Yeah, well that's off topic. You're lying about why you banned him and he wasn't trolling. Just don't pretend you are some kind of lenient person. I already gave you a list of what good moderators do... also unaddressed.

The reason I'm bringing this issue up (and by the way, the silence is deafening on here) is that free thought a fevered defenses should have room on here.

Ryemo, I see why you may think I'm obsessed but you are missing the context for me. First of all, Boz was a way better advisor towards green players than others on here. Don't get me wrong, I've really appreciated a lot of great posts from you recently that are universally applicable and target the true issues for players. He offered balance at times that others didn't. But second of all, the guy was always in fevered disagreement when he felt that a majority was walking all over logic, and that's very important for a forum. Boz asserted some claims others felt pretty radical but some agreed. For example, sims are not that important to me in the overall picture of this game and that was a big point of Boz's and that goes against the party line out here to some extent, at least when people get going on the subject.

I want free discussion. I've noticed almost everyone from the big to the small be snide, deflective and dismissive of new posters and this included Norm shutting down at least two threads started by me that ended up derailed by people. The first person I called out for this perceived energy was Boz, not Norm, but while Norm has continued ignoring whole points I make, Boz is always ready to debate and has given me some fabulous advice and has gotten me to see things differently even in retrospect BECAUSE WE ARGUED A LOT ABOUT IT.

He could be wrong too. And because of this we all learn, and more importantly, new players don't go down a bad road for them by feeling a need to run an advanced count, for example... Or wait til you have a shedload of money to throw down in a real casino situation... Point is, debating about it is necessary and helpful to a large extent until people get hateful or invalidating of others to a severe degree. I think Boz's dismissal after a supposed 5-day hiatus was a stab in the eye by a vindictive person, and I'm here to call it out.

This is the second time you have made baseless false, accusations against me. Accusations that are not only wrong, but fabricated out of thin air. If you believe this because of what Boz has told you; I'm afraid that you are quite naive. I don't understand your purpose. There is no way on Earth that Boz will get yet another chance to spread his venom here. If you think I'm a liar and ban good posters, then what are you doing here? Go find a good forum and let us continue our discussions without your wild accusations.
