    Basic Blackjack Strategy Made EASY!

    Hello All

Started playing BJ and I wanted to memorize Basic Blackjack Strategy so I invented a EASY way to remember (ie. memorize) all 360 hands in Basic Blackjack! It only requires you to "memorize" FIVE things! It is pretty cool and I still use it when I play.

I wrote it up in a book - I don't want to break and forum rules (I'm new here) by "advertising" it here ... but let me know if anyone has any thought etc.

ALL 360 HANDS MEMORIZED WITH 5 SIMPLE MEMORY AIDS! I DID IT!! Now I play every hand perfectly and feel like a total King whenever I play

Next step - start practicing the "Speed Count" at Wizards of Odds - he has an awesome free practice software for Card-Counting ... sweet stuff!

Thanks for reading and GL to all - let 'em have it!

You're not going to get much respect advising people to use Speed Count.

    Hi All!

Thanks for the input! I am really excited about my book - but I have yet to get any feedback from someone that read it!

It is called Perfect Blackjack Strategy: Basic Blackjack Strategy Made Easy!

It is available at Amazon for $20.

TY Stealth for your interest - it really is amazingly easy and it works 100%! All I did was make five Memory Aids to help me remember all 360 hands - it is pretty sweet

When I first saw the Basic Blackjack Card I thought I was screwed - there was no way I could memorize all that. But I sat there looking at the chart and finally boiled it down to just five things to remember.

TY Norm for your feedback as well. As for the Speed Count - I have never counted yet - and I read that it was the best one for newbs like me. I have played around with it online practicing - it seemed pretty sweet for beginners. If I can master it, then of course I will try something "harder".

I am so happy to share my "memory aids" with others - I see so many people here in Ohio playing for $25 a hand or more and they don't have the Basic Strategy memorized - not even close. I want to help them all stick it to the house and have a much better chance of standing up a winner!

Wish me luck and TY all again!

Strange as it sounds, the longer that those players are clueless, and left in the dark, the better for the players here who all are competing for the same dollars with the casinos.

First of all, most of the people on this forum are way past basic strategy. I actually couldn't care less about your book or how effective you think it is, but I am curious about how you might have reduced the task to five easy memory aids. Having trained a fair number of people with a flash card system that uses 28 rules to aid in the learning process and to reduce errors, getting that reduced to five is of interest.

So, hang on and I will let you know what I think of your breakthrough.

My curiosity allows me to piss away $20 to explore new ideas so I now own your book. Disappointingly, this will demand a need for me to select a much less quality wine at an upcoming dinner.

I applaud your intent but must tell you that taking 115 pages to tell me five memorization rules that are so convoluted that they make little logical sense did not reward my curiosity. My assessment is that it is way over engineered and way under designed.

As I indicated in my earlier post, there is already a known simple way to learn basic strategy that reduces the matrix to 26 simple, logical rules and has been tested and used by countless people. I believe (??) this method evolved from the MIT adventures when they needed to train lot's of people rapidly.

Here is a simple chart for S17 that allows the player to look at the dealers card and then recall the action rule indicated. Example: Player hand 9 / Action rule: double down 3-6, otherwise hit (DD 3-6, OW Hit from chart). As we all are aware, number of decks and various rules may change a few of the plays.

So, your book did not make my list for "Best Sellers" and even falls short of my "recommended to own" list (although I do own it, so you were successful selling it).

I would expect ZMF to respond to the book with something like, "obfuscation abounds in those purported pages of wisdom". (or maybe Don who already solved the riddle!)

All I have to say is that if one fails to learn Basic Strategy
(for one set of rules/numbers of decks) in a day (or two),
they are not "made of the right stuff." They will do them-
selves a favor switching to Parcheesi or Chinese Checkers.

    TY for your feedback.

Memorizing Basic Strategy seemed very intimidating for a new player like me - I have met many people who have played for years and still do not have it all memorized.

Remember, you are paying $20 for an EASY way to MEMORIZE all the hands in Basic Strategy - not just to learn what the right plays are.

Anyone can "learn" what the right plays are by buying a Basic Strategy Card at any casino. Remembering them all is the key!

When I attended law school back in the 1980's, I paid over $50k to professionally learn (and sling) BS.

You're only charging $20? Now that's a steal, oops, meant deal!
