T three said some good things above. Quality of play v Quantity of play IS important though BOTH are ways to achieve AP results. I find that an AP also not only knows his body rhythms and best time to play but is able to combat those and also take advantage of the times it is most advantageous to play. I have found that if you want to take advantage of the games (on the strip in Vegas) you DON'T always play when the crowds play. Or the "peak" times. You will find that some places some think might be too high limit or unplayable become playable at certain times or if they are not crowded. For example I can name or think of two places that are quite playable at certain tables where most think the only playable conditions are in the High Limit areas, but actually at certain times they have tables with good rules at lower limits. Or they lower the limits from the high minimum tables JUST for asking or if there are not that many people playing. These conditions will not last long and vary. But you can't take advantage unless you look or are available to play them.
Also, I find that quantity of play CAN matter. I think that sometimes AP play involves "taking what you can get" if that's all you can play at moment. It's in line with Mose's signature.....and old southern saying about a "pig getting fat while a Hog get's slaughtered". Well sometimes I can find games that are positive EV at a lower betting limit (even though my bankroll might justify a higher betting unit) because that is what they will allow or tolerate. It still makes you money or is profit. Yes, would I like to bet higher? Of course, but then I may not be able to play as long or will undergo more scrutiny. If there are NOT other games around to play, then is it not AP play to profit at those lower limits? Sometimes you win ball games hitting lots of singles v. just a few home runs.
In my opinion, AP play can involve many many factors. (Sorry to get on topic and away from the Zee bashing but hey..............I was feeling philosophical)
