He played way too long, and should have walked straight out of the casino instead of going to the cage.

Unless he was going for the lawsuit, that is.

Inherent conflict of interest with governmental authority (police) being paid by casinos...........really?????? Does anyone NOT see an issue with this?

    Clearly bothersome. And not unique.

    I played there precisely twice.

I won both times but the absurd level of heat

    prevented me from ever returning.

I don't understand why he only cashed out part of his chips. And then he apparently didn't know how much he had in chips, another blunder. It might not have been the smartest move, but I can understand why he went straight to the cashier. Doing the other two things don't seem rational considering the situation.

    The casino is really isolated.

    How so ?

Sugar House, Parx, and Harrah's Philadelphia
are all pretty close, and the Sands isn't far off.

Maybe not if you're a crow. But, quite a drive to any of them.

The article says he lives on the Main Line. That means somewhere between Bala Cynwyd and Paoli. There are some really pleasant back roads between that area and Valley Forge. VF to Sugar House has to be easier now due to 95. But, still quite a trek. Then, getting back to the Main Line is about eight times what the crow flies.

I'm not excusing a ten-hour session; as I have a long history of preaching short sessions. Just saying he's not a pro and not surprising he didn't take that trek. All the more reason that the casino was deeply in the wrong -- assuming the narrative is correct.
