I don't understand why he only cashed out part of his chips. And then he apparently didn't know how much he had in chips, another blunder. It might not have been the smartest move, but I can understand why he went straight to the cashier. Doing the other two things don't seem rational considering the situation.
The article says he lives on the Main Line. That means somewhere between Bala Cynwyd and Paoli. There are some really pleasant back roads between that area and Valley Forge. VF to Sugar House has to be easier now due to 95. But, still quite a trek. Then, getting back to the Main Line is about eight times what the crow flies.
I'm not excusing a ten-hour session; as I have a long history of preaching short sessions. Just saying he's not a pro and not surprising he didn't take that trek. All the more reason that the casino was deeply in the wrong -- assuming the narrative is correct.
