An open message to the counter I saw Monday night

East coast casino. You said two things: "This is what they call a swing hand" (which you unfortunately lost) and "I'd stand if you get 15" when the dealer had a 10 showing vs my 7 on a high count.

If this is you, I'd be interested in communicating with you as you're the first counter I've recognized in the casino. I'm looking to network with other counters in my area. You can email me at [email protected]. To verify you're you, I'll ask you to correctly describe the swing hand I referenced and where we were each sitting at the table.

PThe guys got a big mouth. there's a fellow from my extended general locale who does travel to that general area who offers verbal coaching at the table. Not a good idea.

In his defense, he spread to two hands by putting money on top of my bet since there wasn't an open circle available. He just wanted to make sure I played the hand correctly since he had money on the line.

I hate when people do this. Sometimes i have to go along with it to avoid drawing attention, or worse, creating animosity. Some idiot ploppy wants to put $200 on my minimum bet. Then he wants to double a 10 v. 10, so it's a good thing it's DD and I act like it never occurred to me to tell him what I had. I pray I don't get a 12 v. 4 in a neg count, because I'm gonna either be pissed I stood or he's going to freak out if I bust. Or I'll hit and win, but screw up his other hand. Or I'll hit, it makes no difference, and he still freaks out. Bout 90% chance one of these bad outcomes occurs.

Deja vu' I can't see an AP throwing money onto someone else's hand just for the sake of spreading to two hands. Why would I want to interact with a ploppy, or if I had been paying attention, impose on another counter--then dictate how to play the hand, and hope he complies? To lower variance? I'd just play one hand. Then I'd leave because the table was too crowded and I wasn't getting enough hands.

If I play off someone's hand they call the shots and if I let someone play off my hand I will tell him straight up before I let them do it I called the shot I don't care how much they bet and if they agree to this then I'll let him play if not too bad get out of the way it's it's my hand

And if I play off someone's hand and we get a blackjack they keep the bonus and if they someone plays off my hand I keep the bonus. That's only fair and I've never had a problem doing it in Missouri

If you play on someone's hand and you let them keep the bonus, you've given up more than your edge and are playing with a substantial disadvantage. I rest my case, I can't see an AP doing this.

No, it isn't. Even money blackjack adds something like 2.4% to the house edge. So if the true count gets all the way to +5, which happens once every blue moon, you're still at a disadvantage. Put some wax paper on you and press firmly with a pencil, I'd have a carbon copy of a ploppy.

You need to keep it simple. Use HiLo. Get Professional Blackjack by Stanford Wong. Stop betting on people and allowing them to keep the 'bonus'. How did you even come up with that? I have never seen anybody do this. As ppl before me have said, what you are doing is terrible. You are at 2%+ disadvantage. Either play 1 hand or 2 hands YOURSELF!

Well, OK, if you acknowledge you're not beating the house, I guess you can do whatever you want at the table...feel free to come to my table and give me your BJ bonuses.

My count is custom and I don't reveal it publicly. It's similar in ways to Wong Halves. If you are asking for yourself, I always recommend Hi-Lo.
