    Atlantic City

    Hi everyone:

I have not been to AC in a while.

Can anyone give me a recent update on conditions.

    Mostly interested in pen levels.

Keep in mind i'm only a high stakes player. I would appreciate any info, but information in the pitts would be most helpful.

    Thanks

Hi Limit games are S17 with $50 and $100 minimums Pen' can be anywhere from 1.67 to 2.2 decks.
Much better games are found an hour away in Pennsylvania, where the rules are superior.

    Thank you.

Except for Aruba, where I pretty much live all winter. I have been inactive in AC. Are you finding any AC Casino's better then the rest?

And where is your place of preference in Pa.?

A.C. is very sweaty indeed. The Borgata and the Golden Nugget are sort-of-viable.

In Pennsylvania there are three (3) viable choices:

    • Best ..... Sugar House
    • Good .... The Sands
    • Fair ...... Parx

Last time I was in AC with my high rolling ploppy buddies the conditions sucked so bad I will be taking them to other destinations. They play craps and VP. They are happy going almost anywhere so we go wherever I say most of the time. They understand I have real reasons to avoid places and find that they are usually experiencing better results when that do what I say. They lose 5 and rarely 6 figures a weekend. My next trip has all 5 of us going and we won't be going to AC as we had previously planned because of what I recently saw and experienced in AC.

A quick way to see how good a casino is for poppies is look at VP payouts:
    1) lots of 9/6 JOB and 8/6 or 9/5 JOB the place likes to give gamblers a fair shake.
    2) None or few of the above with 8/5 JOB to 7/6 JOB the casino is average so should be down on the list of places to visit
    3) JOB A/B add A+B to less than 13 the casino is a ripoff joint that gouges ploppies and should be avoided.

The other way is to look at the BJ tables:
    1) S17, no CSM's and surrender available this is a great place that gives gamblers a fair game.
    2) If you see H17 especially without surrender average or worse and should be low on the poppies list of casinos to visit
    3) If you see CSM's or 6:5 games the place likes to gouge ploppies and should be boycotted or at least avoided at all costs.

This is how you flag the greedy casinos that don't like to give anyone a chance to win if they play for any small length of time. It is also how you pick the ones that give players a fair game because they understand they will win more because players win and come back more frequently rather than stop coming altogether. They aren't trying to help you win in the long run but rather increase their long run profits by having you feel you have a fighting chance. These casinos are usually packed with higher spenders while the casinos further down the list are not busy and have low level players as most of the poor turnout to play. just look for yourself and see where the masses assemble. You will see I am right. Only the true idiots keep going back where they rarely win.

Pretty much any other state in the Northeast. don't be expecting me to give out specifics of where I like to play for obvious reasons.
