    Monster count

    Blackjack story from yesterday's play - The highest count I've ever experienced in a DD game (pitch game).

    Last round of a 70 - 75% pen game and my TKO true count was at +26. I haven't done the math, but I think it means that there's virtually nothing left but Aces and faces. So I put out my super-max bet. There were two other players at the table -

    Dealer shows a ten. First-base ploppy turns over a BJ. Centerfield ploppy turns over a BJ. I haven't looked at my cards yet, but I'm thinking at this point, why me - the only player not to get a BJ? So I take a peek - it was a BJ!

    Wow - I love it when a plan comes together! No real point to this story other than it made my day...

    I had my highest playing count yet not too long ago. The level 2 playing count hit the mid 60's early in the shoe. Unfortunately my story has me losing a bundle. It was a great opportunity though. Supermax bet heads up for 3+ decks until the cut card came out. I never lost so many hand of 20 to the dealer sucking out in my life. It seemed the guarantee was I would get a 20 on each spot and the dealer would draw a few cards for 21 almost every round or have a BJ with a face up. It could have been a lot worse but there wasn't much of any positive swing during the shoe. Just a steady exodus of Benjamins from my pocket. I am glad it went well for you... this time. We have all been on both sides of results to monster counts. My bad run continued for a few days. It got so bad that when things finally went back to normal it felt weird to win with 2 hands of 20 and big bets out. LoL

    To my systems credit a long multi-day really bad beating resulted in a loss of less than a good day's profits. I did nail a shoe or two in the beating but really got slaughtered the rest of the time. I am not used to losing so it was a bit more unsettling than it would have been. A few years ago such a beating was par for the course for the roller coaster ride my BR went through on a daily basis. Things have been different for some time now. LoL
