    Zeljko Ranogajec

In all of my readings, I have never seen him mentioned. He isn't in Gambling Wizards or any other book I have read yet he is in the Blackjack Hall of Fame.

He has branched out into racing, keno and other games but he supposedly started out playing blackjack. Did anyone here ever play with him or know him? As secretive as he seems to be, how did he make it into the Blackjack Hall of Fame? Does anyone here have any stories about him?

I know him, nice guy. He no longer lives in Australia. He made a shit ton on the Tasmanian Lottery. He's good friends with a close friend of mine. He has homes all over the place.

He played in Sri Lanka on early 198?, might be the first card counter to play there.
Nobody knows anything about blackjack card counting in the country.
Made a casino own him over 100 thousands US, and has never given him back.
Also played in South Africa around that year.

    1983, he played in Macau.
One day, another US CC was stopped at the door of the casino, told that the police are looking for him(US CC).
So the US CC went to the police station, then he got some warnings...don't play at Macau casino any more or he would get trouble...would be caught as a drug dealer.
When the US CC was inside the police station, he saw Zeljko's photo on the wall.
The US CC told this to Zeljko, Zeljko left Macau.

I enjoy reading about the early big time gamblers and how they progress from just card counting to other areas and seem to do well all of them. It's one of the reasons I like listening to GWAE podcasts so much.
