    Marriott Stellaris Aruba

    Marriott Stellaris Aruba
Just returned from a 5 day trip; played on three nights. We played only one shoe at The Ritz and all others at the Stellaris. The Ritz was 6:5 that’s why only one shoe.

    Stellaris.
The casino is open 24 hours but the table games start +/- 4:30 pm and run until 4:00 am.
    6 tables; each hits a soft 17.
2 tables were 6 decks with 3:2 payout; 1 of those was CSM ($15 minimum) and 1 was a full 6 deck machine shuffle ($25 minimum).
3 tables were 8 deck with CSM and 6:5 payout (I don’t know minimum on those but I think they were $15).
    1 table was 8 deck hand shuffle; 3:2 ($15minimum).

The Pit Boss told me they change the type of shuffle depending on “our mood” or if the machine breaks.
I played the 8 deck hand shuffle.
    Lucky Ladies side bet.

    For me it was profitable.
Hope this helps those that are going to Aruba.

Remind me not to play any blackjack in Aruba anytime soon. Those games are either unplayable or seriously rough around the edges. You played the pick of the litter but as Romes mentioned, where the cut card goes matters along with whether you could wong in or not.

It was my first real effort at AP and was shocked by how other players were making their bets. Crazy. Pure dumb luck. I watched more than one guy sit down in the middle of the shoe and flash his man-bling (including wifey's "add-ons") then toss down $3-$5k and lose. Quickly. In the meantime they're questioning my hitting a 3 when I had a 12.

Plus the one Pit Boss I truly encountered was an ass towards anyone who had a question.

All-in-all I don't know if I'd ever go back to Aruba to gamble nor vacation. Can't figure out the draw of that island. But that's besides the point.

You'll see a lot of rich Dutch people as well as Columbians with shady revenues come and flash bling in Aruba.
