    What happened to Vegas?

This is my 2nd time ever here and my god why is everything 6:5? I've heard of people mentioning it on the forum, but had no idea every single main floor in every casino is saturated with 6:5.

I'm here for another week, does anyone have any suggestions where I can play a main floor somewhat decent game? I don't even care if its H17. The wizardofodds site doesn't seem to be too reliable because it mentions games in the hi limit room and I'm trying not to play anything higher than 25 minimum.

I believe MGM has some decent games but I haven't checked that out yet. Maybe Aria? Let me know please.

$10 min strip games are pretty much all CSM on the strip. You need to go a min 25 go get non csm and 3-2, and even then, no guarantee. There are lots of non strip ,ovals type places where you can get better rules and pen.

What are your stakes - can direct you at at point. Also, consider CBJN.

Quit looking at the $15 tables or the ones in the tit-pits if you're looking for 3:2. I think pretty much every casino on strip has $25 3:2 shoe games. Weekend nights, some will go to $50 or even $100, but $25 will still exist. Bellagio and Aria likely no good on weekend nights, since they push up some of their $25's to 50 or 100, making the 25 games more crowded and less/not playable.

Actually on second thought: It's March. Hmm, best off to probably play in the mornings on the strip with uncrowded games and $15-25 mins. Then play off strip for nights.

Can't think of a single off strip property that only offers 6:5.

Question from a beginner who live in Europe and has never been in vegas : is LV a good place to play, in comparaison at europe or the rest of the world ? I would guess that pit boss from this city know very well the game, better than other countries which doesnt have BJ culture.

I could not agree more. If I could do it all over again, I would travel to the NorthEast for BJ and to MD for poker . As mentioned above, Vegas is a TRAP! Although, if you have a successful gamble with the mouse trap you can come out with some cheese.

Years ago I'd virtually commute to Las Vegas,

but nowadays, I am down to a once-a-year visit.

    Enough said.

Las Vegas is a resort city that is focused on revenue from NON-GAMBLING sources.

Really? Just head downtown, you'll be surprised.

Regarding strip play, Caesars is almost exclusively 3:2 6 deck in the main pit. The rules are not great, but the game is beatable with a sufficient spread. Bellagio has, at least sometimes, 6 deck, s17, LS game at $50 minimum; I played it about a month ago in the main pit. Many other properties, MGM and otherwise, offer 2 deck H17 games with no surrender at consistent $25 minimums regardless of weekend/weekday/hour. Not ideal, but .4% is manageable.

Try south strip properties......and I mean FAR south strip.........like Silverton and M. You can get some better games there. 3-2 and at Silverton, even their party pit keeps regular rules like main pit. Only one I know that is NOT 6-5. (info based upon February stays)

Caesars IS exclusively 3:2 6d in main pit, nothing else (except roulette) exists in that pit. It's better than most strip shoes though.

Bellagio got that lone S17 table, tricks me every time I walk by.

Which casinos downtown only offer 6:5? I don't play there often, but as far as I remember, the following offer 3:2: D, DTG, EC, Fremont, Binions, & GN. The others I don't know for sure because I haven't been in recently to play....but I'm not aware of 1 that only offers 6:5.

MGM has $25 H17 DD game? Really? I can't visualize where that is.

I was at MGM last month and I only found a $100 S17 DD game that nobody was playing at. I asked the pit lady if I could go for $50 min. and she accommodated. But I had to use my player's card and such heavy camo betting that it was hardly worth it.

As soon as enough people stop playing their crappy 6:5 games they'll not offer it. Instead the general public are like moths to a flame, ill-fated soldiers marching to a grisly death, succulent tasty livestock lined up for the slaughter with that deer in the headlights gaze and just way too stupid to know any better or to know of their certain doom. I've watched this gradually evolve from Vegas being one of the best places to play blackjack to one of the worst.

Those games are on the main floor - [with the high limit games and craps tables behind you]
