    Expected return table ENHC

Hey guys, is there an expected return table for the ENHC? like the http://wizardofodds.com/games/blackjack/appendix/1/ or the tables I heard are in blackjack attack ( I have bought the book, but I'm not home and can't sleep without finding out the numbers ) )

    Thank you

Those numbers on WoV generally speak to basic strategy, which is a losing game. I'm not criticizing in any way, but we are more focused on winning. What exactly are you looking for?

I was reading Burning the tables in Vegas, specifically the cover plays and was interested in the difference in using some of the covers when it comes to ENHC. But yea, you are right that only relates to basic strategy, should I sim for every playing decision? would that be accurate?

    Diamond55,

Yes... simulation is indeed the way to go, since both your wager and the penalty for sub-optimal play vary with the count. As a simple example, say you're considering "never take insurance" as a cover play (hint: don't!). If you use the BS tables, you'll see that insurance is a losing bet for the player (about -3.7% for 6D), so you'd decide that this cover play is actually +EV. Naturally, though, this is a terrible cover play.

Instead, what you should do is first run a sim with no cover plays, using whatever betting strategy you use. Then decide which cover plays you want to use and run a second sim with these cover plays, again using your betting strategy. Finally, compare the difference in the Win Rates to see the true cost of your proposed group of cover plays.

    Hope this helps!
