Where can I find a BJ Switch Simulation Software ?
The problem with creating BJSwitch simulation software is that it has to be based on a strategy, or at least a form of strategy. You have to have some method of describing how you will play the game to simulate it.
"I don't think outside the box; I think of what I can do with the box." - Henri Matisse
I think Norm's point isn't about coming up with a strategy but a ways to represent it for both user input/output as well as for the software to use. No doubt that the basic strategy of switch, whatever it is, is much more expansive and burdensome to calculate than basic strategy since you have to consider all the relevant four card combinations against all thirteen dealer up cards. The exact optimal strategy for non-counters would be quite cumbersome if expressed as basic strategy is with a table of every possible strategy decision. Most strategies offered for Switch are usually given in a series of generalized rules that capture most of the optimal strategy. Perhaps one day someone will figure out a really nice way to represent possible switch strategy that is practical for both simulation and human use.
Fair enough. In any case, from what I can tell, the complete and optimal switch strategy can't be used as is so a condensed strategy is probably required for human use, regardless of whether it captures most of the gain. I don't think anyone in their right mind would learn basic strategy if it involved a grid with thousands of combinations.
Hi,
Please check your gmail.
It would be nice if you could present your simulation results in this format :-
Pays No of Event -8 xxx -7 xxx -6 xxx -5 xxx -4 xxx -3 xxx -2 xxx -1 xxx 0 xxx 1 xxx 2 xxx 3 xxx 4 xxx 5 xxx 6 xxx 7 xxx 8 xxx
I would like to know the no of events for each Pays, so that I can calculate the variance & ev and TRIP ROR.
