    Mathematical symbols

    Norm,

Is there any way to insert mathematical symbols in the message window such as the square root symbol and the upper and lower case Greek alphabet? If a formula is copied and pasted from another program these symbols turn to "?" Alpha numeric generated symbols such as x° or x² seem to be ok.

The easiest way is to do a Google search on the symbol and copy from the results. You can also look at

    http://www.ascii.cl/htmlcodes.htm

    or

    https://www.utexas.edu/learn/html/spchar.html

Copy the ISOLatin-1 code or HTML Number. This always starts with &# and ends with ;.
