I use Zen. Strong count as well as easy-enough to employ, as no side counting is necessary.

    Hahahahaha. Nice try.

SD = Uses a single deck of cards that is usually handheld for dealing.
Shoe is dealt from a box that holds the cards called a shoe and uses multiple decks of cards.

SD is single deck. Shoe is usually for 6D and 8D.

I use HO2. I switched from KO. It works well for me although I have not memorized all the indices yet. It requires some thorough training and side counting aces. It's a work in progress.

KO seems to make you think you do not need to calculate TC but you tend to become too complacent at first and to trust your running count as meaning anything at all. In reality you realize you can't trust it as much at the beginning of the shoe as towards the cut card. As a result you miss a lot of early opportunities. Calculating TC is complicated, unless you start with a zero initial count, which then negates the RC = TC theory.

Because no count is perfect, there no answer to the question what is the best count. You should try a couple and settle on one you like. My experience is that I was unhappy with one and switched to another which is a lot better in my mind.

    YMMV

Very good suggestion. This is absolutely correct. I used ZEN for over a decade.
