    BJ21 Has been SOLD

Not sure if it's appropriate here to post this. If not, I apologize. But one of the oldest running BJ sites BJ21 has been sold. The new owner is Joshua Chan. This is the same person that bought the Wizard of Odds site back in 2014. Sounds like SW will be gone but Al is staying on.

No. BJ21 will continue to operate under new ownership, but Al will continue to stay involved and will still run the forum.

I'm glad they made out well. But, what an unfortunate turn being purchased by, I think, the largest online casino portal.

I don't know much other than it's the same guy who owns WOO and WOV.

Mr. Chan said the membership information will be kept private. I hope if he gets an offer from osn or similar group for more than he paid for the business, that he will honor his pledge.

It sounds like everyone that doesn't use Norm's site are gambling with their info being sold or the site being bought out by a party or parties that would use the info in a harmful way. Definitely not the advantage play.

I wouldn't go that far. I would trust Al to not compromise info. What I don't see is how Chan makes money off of this acquisition since the site is private and the subscribers are not likely to use online casinos.

Advertising on Wizard of Odds and Wizard of Vegas hasn't gotten that much worse. Lots of links to online gambling portals but not really obtrusive.........................yet.

Going to run ads on the site and charge for them. Did that with WOO.

The difference is that WOO is totally public with a great deal of activity. And, most of the users are ploppies. That's the type of site where ads work.

I agree, I do not see how to monetize that site any further than it is. Combining it with something else more commercial will kill it. IMHO.
Luck is nothing more than probability taken personally!

About Blackjack: The Forum

BJTF is an advantage player site based on the principles of comity. That is, civil and considerate behavior for the mutual benefit of all involved. The goal of advantage play is the legal extraction of funds from gaming establishments by gaining a mathematic advantage and developing the skills required to use that advantage. To maximize our success, it is important to understand that we are all on the same side. Personal conflicts simply get in the way of our goals.
