I am very suspicious that CSM's can be programmed to deal a random sequence that may favor the Casino. Anyone else have this feeling?
I rarely loose single deck, double deck or shoe dealt games but am frequently stumped by CSM dealt games.
It is a fact that some of the CSM's contain high def cameras and are able to deal a certain card for promotional purposes. As a matter of fact, via WIFI or Bluetooth technology an infinite number of machines can be ganged together to deal the same card simultaneously. That kind of worries me because if they can be programmed to do that, they can change their random number generators to favor the casino when they want to or the players when they want to attract more to a table!!!! I experienced that on a Cruise ship recently. I started out with red chips and won fairly frequently until I ventured into the black - my luck quickly changed. I believe they are cheating. No more CSM's for me.
This is mentioned quite often. Personally, I don't think it's worth it for a casino to risk the license of their multi-million dollar business to make a few cheap bucks. I'm sure cheating does happen here and there but I doubt they'd bother for the $5-$10 ploppies. Others have expressed the same thoughts.
At the end of the day, it's a good thing that people don't trust them. It forces casinos to keep their ASMs
Yes, if you do some research on the technology of CSM's you will discover all that technology, primarily thru the patent office on this equipment.
Why was I playing CSM's table? The only $10 an $25 tables on the Carnival Cruise ship. I switched to "Fun 21" with a $6 min and $500 Max. This game consists of eight decks with all the queens removed(some ad to the house)but it was dealt out of a shoe and hand shuffled by the dealer with about 65% to 70% penetration. BJ paid 3:2, double down even after three cards and any BJ was paid immediately iregardles of dealers hand (no pushing a dealers BJ) other totals of 21 with 3 or more cards were also paid immediately. Bottom line was I won in excess of $500 in a couple of hours - I love this game!

Well, duh! They are computers, they can be programmed to do whatever they want. JUST LIKE THE VIDEO GAMES AND SLOTS! That is also why they are certified and regulated.
They have little motivation to cheat because few, if any, AP's will play them and certainly not for large bets and the civilians don't generally care.
They have even less motivation as they are subject to inspection by Gaming at any time and an intentional cheating machine would be a real problem.
Luck is nothing more than probability taken personally!
I think the best way to analyze this machine is to have one and check how it works
In my local casino, they use a CSM that takes 4 decks of cards and shuffles them, Now if I can get a clue on the depth of cards that are stacked for dealing , I guess that created some sort of penetration. But I am not sure how can I order one?!
