Pretty basic BJ question.
I know that if there is no RSA, you get 1 and only 1 card after splitting aces.
If a table has RSA can you double down afterwards or hit at any point?
There is a list of some of the blackjack rules (123 of them) at: Blackjack variations.
"I don't think outside the box; I think of what I can do with the box." - Henri Matisse
As far as i know RSA means your allowed to split up to 4 times Vs the traditional 1 time split(2 hands) No Splitting Aces means you cant split at all and NRSA means no Multiple Splits..
- Resplit Aces – Adding this rule allows resplitting of a pair of aces. This rule is less common but more common than most people think. Advantage is 0-.1 depending on other rules. In shoe games, this rule is quite valuable for card counters and is often seen with late surrender games in Las Vegas.
- Multiple draw after split Aces – Most casinos will allow only one card drawn to each split hand after splitting aces. A few allow additional draws. Advantage is about .1.
- Double after split Aces – Several casinos now allow splitting aces and then doubling down on them. Either from a defensive standpoint (getting a lousy hit and double for table min hoping to get a good card) or from an offensive standpoint where it would be a double if it had occurred on your first two cards.
And unless im mistakeh here, your probably more than likely to be restricted to the traditional way of only splitting aces once if Multiple Draw or Double after split is allowed....
As far as doubling after split Aces is concerned, im not exactly sure if a card has to be taken first(most likely) or you can take both hands as Hard Eleven(11) which of course would be better than doubling as a soft-hand..
ZMF there are casinos that allow you to take a hit on your split aces. The only thing you must do is make another bet. If you split aces for $100 and are sitting at a $10 dollar table you must put a minimum of $10 or a maximum of $100 to receive the next card. Also allows you to double down. So it all depends where you play at. This is regular BJ.
Okay, I will mention 7 casinos by name located in northern MI. The Kewadin casino has dsa which means you can only split your aces once and will get another card on each ace, but then to get a third card you can double down, and the nice thing is you can double for less as long as it is table min up to the amount of your bet. Table min is only $5 at Kewadin. Also Kewadin is S17 and has late surrender on their six deck game. There are four Kewadin casinos and all have same rules.
Bay Mills casino has this rule and so does Turtle Creek casino and Leelanau Sands casino. So there are 7 out 23 casinos in MI that has this rule and that is 30%
