    Streak ended

Won 34 straight times this year at a local card room using a $25 match play coupon that they so generously send me every month good weekly. Since I have other business in the area I stopped in as many weeks out of the year that I could. Some weeks I was double dipping if it was close to midnight and it coincided with the last/first day of the match play for the week. Also during the last few months this place has gotten much better penetration .5 deck/6 so I would back count a couple tables and hop in when it got good with my match and a chip inventory to avoid buying in. I finally did receive a little heat a couple trips ago when a shoe got real good backcounting. I jumped in with match play and pit boss immediately came over to examine and stare me down something that hadn't happened until that point. TC went to +5 and I immediately ramped up to max bet suggesting I was running late for a dinner meeting and received a natural. Stayed a few more hands at table max and proceeded to win 2/3 and left. Most of the time I was in and out of there within 5 minutes and hit a nice run of luck mostly using the match off the top of a new shoe. Few weeks ago I also scored two extra $25 match plays from a couple that was attending a wine fest conference and they were so drunk and asked me if I wanted them. Won on all 3 of my match plays that night. I imagine a couple rated sessions early in the year garnered the comps where I played real short sessions with a quick ramp to max bet.

I also believe what has helped is I try to mix it up and come on different shifts if I had extra time to backcount, wong in and play some aggressive spreads.

Well streaks over finally lost yesterday and time to start a new one for 2016 (granted they continue to send me monthly mailers with matchplay)

Usually casino days start around 6am not midnight. I have never played at a place that would let you use matchplay based on the calendar day.

Well I assure you there are some places that don't operate that way. Also this is not a casino but a race track with poker and blackjack. In the terms of coupon it states Coupon is valid after 12:00am of the start date through 11:59pm of the end date. So it made it ideal a few times I was able to double dip both weeks at once.

I had an amazing run with these match plays and kept wondering when the streak would end. I will likely not experience another streak like that again in my life but it was fun while it lasted.
