This requires flying to Salt Lake City and renting a car to travel.

That is certainly a major expense to overcome for most BJ players.

But most trips require a flight and car rental. I don't understand the issue.

Not to quibble, but "best blackjack destination" depends greatly on one's bankroll. That said, if you have a max bet under $1,000, I would agree that Wendover is really hard to beat.

Max bet of $1000 works. "Checks play" is not called out in Wendover.

The majority of players on this forum play at their local casinos,
irrespective of the (often) poor quality of the games / table conditions.

On this forum we have many players who bridle at the notion of spending
a few dollars for a good book or computer application.

Betting green and red, the idea of coughing up $400 to $800 in expenses
they may be unable to justify.

I just finished surfing the 'net for East Coast Flights Round Trip to Salt Lake City.

Those tickets, sans the requisite rental car, for all dates in January on Southwest Airlines,

[generally cheapest from my home airport] had prices between $1250 and $1,350.

So, while I stated $800, it appears that the cost would be approximately $1,400.

See BJA3, p. 176. In carefully controlled apples-to-apples comparisons, Hi-Lo doesn't beat K-O under any circumstances on the whole page.

What resolution should I use quarter deck? I did my index generation in half deck resolution for a TC calculation but CVCX I use quarter deck to simulate the strategy for 1,2 decks resolution.

With realistic rules, indices, and spreads SCORE runs between 25 and 35.

The Hi-lo-Full sim came with CVCX when I purchased it so I am just reproducing it from there.
