Banks are legitimate business while casinos are shady. They belong in different category. By the way, anyone catching last night's "Elementary" on CBS? The episode just summed up the current facial recognition /tracking system technology I am trying to tell you guys. Not paranoia at all.

wow, now you are backing it up with a TV show. My wife worked a a crime lab and used to laugh at NCIS because she had never seen either the equipment or the lab workers who acted like the ones in the TV show. Can you imagine the cost, the maintenance fees and more to have the level of technology used? Can you imagine the cost to have someone sit by this technology trying to pre-empt counters? If it exists, it's likely to be used after a huge theft or something.

I'm not even close to 100% sure on this point - simply my intuition which suggests that FRS in casinos is not close to the same grade as used by police, security agencies etc. Anyone else have anything on this point?

It's terrific when a count goes high then drops, because that means the surplus tens and aces are actually coming out.
If the TC goes to +4 and stays there that means round after round of +4 is being dealt. The reduction in cards left balance the high cards that are coming out so if the cards dealt are counted and divided by the number of cards dealt they would have a TC of +4. Sure it would be better if the TC went to 0 by the shuffle indicating rounds of much higher than TC +4 have been dealt.

I have found that the majority of people don't grasp subtlety. You need to smack them right between the eyes, and even then, there's a siginficant percentage that can't or doesn't want to understand your point.

Since joining this board, I have found its users tend to fall within a standard deviation of the societal "norm".

Let me be Frank - I agree. A person could always bob around until they figure it out, or allow someone to bill them to point rhem in the right direction. Of course, if they have the will, they will be able to do this themselves. I'll be happy to refer anyone to my friend, Corny, if they've had their Phil of this silly response. If not, one can always play with Johnson.
