    Baccarat in Vegas

Does anyone have information on the Baccarat scene in Vegas? Where are the best places to play? What minimums can I expect to find at a high end strip property, a low end strip property, and a Fremont casino (if they even have Baccarat tables)? I am looking for big table, where the player can handle the cards, not interested in "face up" variants.

I have not seen a single "Big Table" anywhere in several years.

The only exception that I have seen is the big tables for WHALE

action at the MGM Grand. There are probably others ~ wherever

"Whales" are pampered and coddled to.

They have been replaced by "Baccarat MINI Table" for low stakes"

and "Baccarat MIDI Tables" (for $100 minimums) where the players

can handle the cards, but not deal them.

P.S. The Sands Casino in Bethlehem, PA has, I believe, 58 Baccarat Tables.

I think it's the same in the UK, where full sized tables that can accommodate 12 or 14 players are now as common as rocking horse $#it.

The Claremont Club in London has recently re-introduced Chemin de Fer for a trial period, although visitors should be aware that there is a house policy of not allowing entry to anyone who appears poor (http://www.ukcasinotablegames.info/chemindefer.html).

    Great information.
Any recommendations on where to go for the midi tables that allow card handling?
After Vegas in two weeks I will be headed toward Atlantic City which is close enough to Bethlehem so may stop in there as well to have a look.

Any place that handles high action will tend to offer MIDI.
In A.C. you may like the MIDI tables at the Golden Nugget.

I can set you up with a host (in advance) so that your
suite will be comp'd as you are obviously accepting of
    $100 minimums.

Also, at that casino, and some others, you will find:
E-Z Baccarat -- with H.E. on Bank reduced to 1.03%

As you have no P.M. privileges, drop me a line at:
    [email protected] if interested.

This the Wizard's Baccarat Survey for Las Vegas.

It is dated by 10 months but ...

NOTE: The MGM Grand is not listed. They have numerous Baccarat Tables.

There is still one place where you can find the big table, It's at Caesars. It's a $100 minimum table. They usually have two of them open in their high limit room. This was when I was in Vegas for the WSOP in the summer so they could have taken it out by now, but I don't think so because it's been there for awhile when everyone started removing their big games. They also prided themselves on being the last one with the "big table" on the strip when I was speaking to the pit crew.

As far as AC goes, Borgata had the big game where you could handle the cards, and it was opened on weekends. It seemed like it was going to stay. I knew they had taken out one of the two big tables they had, and replaced that area with 3 MIDI tables, but still kept one. This info is about two years old, so I don't know if they got rid of it all together. If anyone has been to Borgata lately in the HL room maybe they can update if they took that big game out?
