Learn the ZEN COUNT. It is strong and doesn't use side-counts.
It is very good for shoe games and "pitch games" alike.
There's a good free book here on this site https://qfit.com/book/ModernBlackjackPage-10.htm
Which system you choose doesn't matter that much if you learn it perfectly and avoid negative counts when playing shoes.
I don't know if it's your ID name, or the word's size, but it sounds so convincing haha.
After finishing this one, i'll look for zen count, in fact, i don't really know how does it works or where to find it. But i'll definetly take your advise
If any recommendation about it, don't doubt, right now i'm like a sponge at learning; i know you're most experinced than me and that's why the wiser will be follow all your advising
Thanks for helping the newbie !
PD: i'll play 6D 17S DAS no surrender (if it's useful)
Thanks Zach, i was thinking about reading it, but what stopped me was it's only online version, and paper or donwloadable are credit card payment (which i don't have yet), if i could pay by bank transfer i'll be joy to pay it.
It's not an excuse, i'll read it, of course, just not at this early time . thanks for help !
You mentioned Red Seven, so you must have a copy of "Blackbelt in Blackjack."

It is in there. Did you stop reading after the Red 7 chapter ?
RE: My nickname. As a veteran full-time Professional Player
I used Zen for two decades and as I say, "My skills paid my bills."
You mentioned " ... no surrender (if it's useful)."
Surrender is wonderfully useful and profitable.

Oh, you got me! i'm on red seven chapter haha.
When i mentioned "no surrender", i mean, the casino i'll play doesn't allow surrender.
PD: how suspicious is if anyone ask for surrender at table ? i know that most of books says is completly normal, but i though the only who ask for it, is who studied basic strategy -may be is a misconception- .
I started out with red 7 to get my feet wet. Once I had a good base with that I switched to zen. The difference has been remarkable, almost wish I would have switched sooner.
"No sir, I have no experience, but I'm a big fan of money. I like it, I use it, I have a little. I keep it in a jar on top of my refrigerator. I'd like to put more in that jar. That's where you come in." -Adam Sandler
If the rule is in play, it is unlikely to be posted.
You can ask if you like. It is NOT suspicious.
I have never seen a casino that will not let you use a standard $1 plastic Basic Strategy Card the table, and most Pit Critters carry one if they are at their jobs. They are for sale in the casino shop that sells newspapers and candy bars, etc. The most common one give correct Basic Strategy for a S17 shoe game and has the B.S. for Late Surrender along the edge or on the bottom.
Basic Strategists are the bread and butter of the Blackjack Pit, as they lose slowly but inevitably.
I had some troubles at finding them, and maybe there are ppl who want to know what is playing as advantage player before start to investing on it.
So, those books are old but it has information for newbies like me who probably are interesting not at going pro but to learn at least concepts.
I can upload them somewhere (if it's allowed).
The way you ask makes me feel that I'm doing something wrong haha, feel free to correct me if that's it.
