Actually this was kind of what I was getting at. How do you know if the player knows or doesn't know the rules. Only the player himself knows that.

Even if the player knows the rules for CRAPS, that doesn't mean he necessarily knows the rules for the game being played, since it could (arguably) be mistaken for a craps variant.


If you're going to do it and you're SMART about it, I'd bet amounts that can be laid on the number. Do something like $300. If anyone threatens you with cheating and you've been exposed, of course you can start off with dealer said I could make the bet....or say you thought you were laying the point.
