I just found out that RFID Chips can be deactivated. Didn't know that.

Thanks to RFID tags embedded inside them, the chips with denominations of $100 to $25,000 could be immediately deactivated rendering them unredeemable for cash value. Watch CCTV footage from the December 14th robbery in the video clip below, followed by the recent press conference from the Las Vegas Police concerning Carleo's arrest. Stealing worthless chips and then getting caught trying to sell them to undercover officers? Danny Ocean this guy is not.

I doubt they aren't literally deactivated. They're just marked stolen in the database.

Tsk Tsk A double negative of sorts. "Doubt" followed by "aren't" ? Is this correct ?

    Doubt isn't a negative.

    Compare and contrast these
    :

    "I doubt they aren't literally ..."
"I doubt they are literally ..."

    NOW insert "don't" before doubt.

    Now recite both.

    "I DON'T doubt they aren't literally ..."
    "I DON'T doubt they are literally ..."

    Hmmmm.

What Norm wrote was confusing, but not because of the word "doubt".

He should have written, "I doubt they are literally deactivated." I think that's what he meant.

Kind of like when people say, "I could care less." Or when they say, "Do you mind if...." and the other responds saying, "No."
