Current and hopefully last game plan: 3 nights Palace Station, got the casino rate on the tower room thanks to ZMF. Signed up for their boarding pass and will hit the 9 -16 VP for comps. Will go with A - 5 count, will go with a rec from Wizofodds and look for a 6D, DS17, RS, DAS and LS. Will have a set of 6 strategy cards from Ken Smith and will be tipping thanks to a generous room discount.

It is rare to find the S17 DD games at MGM Grand for < $50,
and their pit critters are more skillful than others. Hard Rock
is infamous for quick 86'ings. You are nowhere near ready for
the upper tier of BJ stores in Las Vegas.

Do you mean I am not ready because of my blackjack skill or is it that I am not ready because I don't know what the upper tiers of BJ stores will throw at me? If I further develop my cover play I am confident that they won't know I am a skillful Blackjack play.

You answered your own question. Obviously, if I say that it is not applicable to shoe games ...

It is a good amateur count to reduce the House Edge in a SD or DD game with good penetration.
