If I get a mail for comped 2 nights at cosmo and I don't play, will they tell me to pay for the room at the end of the trip? What about V/P, CET, mlife?
No, they shouldn't. When you check in you have to put up a credit card in case you dirty up the room then they'll charge you (ie: if you decide to host some dog fights and get blood in the carpets and drapes). The receipt when you check in even says the room costs $0. If they charged me $$ for the room, I'd just do a charge-back when reviewing my credit card online.
It also wouldn't hurt if you played a little bit. Play minimum for 15-20 minutes rated. They can no longer claim you didn't play this you have to pay $$$ for room. And since there's no contract between you and casino saying you have to play to a certain level (hours or theoretical), you should be fine.
But the casino sure doesn't like it when you just use comps & benefits without play.

You will not be charged for anything at cosmo or cet. Mgm sometimes they don't actually give you the comp (which is bs) but make it sound like one. In that case you would be charged.
A complete stiff could get you cut off. If you show even light play that won't hsppen; your offers will go down but you could be able to pick up offers you had earned from periods when you played more. Furthermore you will be able to get bigger offers in the future if you give them more play where as a stiff could get you in "no offer" status. Note I said could...one stiff you will probably be fine.
I would give them some very light play, but not at BJ. The best is to play big at vp and if you get down early you can quit and show a loss which sometimes is as good as actually playing.
Really? I didn't think there was a way around the resort fee. I don't have many hosts in Vegas being I only play rated at 2 places, but the two Ive asked always told me that they could not go away with the resort fee. Same has been said to me in AC. Who do you ask besides the host or the hotel front desk people?

How did you go about choosing which stores to play rated in Vegas? I've considered the idea of playing for comps and using polite spreads in 1 or 2 casinos in Vegas, but haven't followed through yet. My last couple trips I only played unrated and just paid for my own food and rooms.
Most places where you are fully comped, do away with the resort fee. At least, that's been my experience. If the comp is partial, then the resort fee would stay. That being said, there's lots if budget motels etc,, in safe areas which give you a good bang for your buck, which relieves you of the possible obligation of playing rated
If I'm by myself, all I really want is a comfortable safe place to stay. If I'm with my wife, or son etc, I like to stay in better places. So far, I've been pretty lucky on that point and have been fully comped, though on one occasion, with wife, son and daughter in law, passed the comp to the kids and I paid full grunt for wife and me.
Depends on your stakes, though you really don't want to play rated in to many places. I've been backed off playing rated At very polite stakes and spreads, so if u are going to okay rated for comps, make if real polite. Good example would be the downtown grind joints. There are also places that take action very well.
