    Black Jack Card couting benefit

    Hi,

I started to play blackjack from last 6-8 months and heard a lot about card counting and MIT team on internet. I have some confusion about it, please suggest me on this.

    1) casino has 6 or 8 deck BJ table and they uses card shuffler ( not keeping out played cards ) so in that case, hows card counting helps us as there are chances to come out same card again ?

    2) multiple deck BJ games with card shuffler, how we can keep card counting ?

    Thanks
    Ben

    Hi Ben

Those are referred to as Continuous Shuffle Machines or CSM's. Unless you have excellent rules, supposedly they are only slightly beatable by counting a small group of cards as they are fed into the machine but the expected value or EV is so small as to make the game almost worthless.

If you can find another game to play, you'll be much better off.

Bodarc gave you a good answer, but as a new member, even if not subscriber yet, you can do a search I believe on the Free Forum. You will find a wealth of information (and opinions) about CSM's (Continuous Shuffler Machines). The casinos specifically install these as a way to speed up the game (no shuffling by dealers) and to counter card counters since you can NOT count these in the normal sense.

Most casinos offer shoe games, where there are 6-8 decks in the shoe, and the entire shoe of cards is played except the last 1 or 2 decks. There are a few casinos (namely the one you're referring to) where all they have is CSMs - continuous shuffling machines, where cards that have been played are immediately returned into the shuffler. CSMs are, for the most part, not countable....especially not for a beginner.

If you can find a shoe game where they deal out a majority of the cards, then you have something card-countable. But if all you have is CSMs, I'm afraid you're out of luck.

Yes, we have high bet BJ table where they use 8 deck shoe deck, so in that case, how card couting add benefit ? i mean what would be the good score to predict chances of winning against dealer...

WHat would be bank roll u suggest for that let say, if we play on $50 table which has 8 deck shoe game..

    Hi Ben

Since you already know how to count, read this free book: https://www.qfit.com/book/index.htm

And then buy " Blackjack Attack Playing The Pros Way". It will give you the SCORE and all of the statistics you need.

    Ben,

You need to post complete rules and how much of the 8 decks is being
dealt before shuffling. That is what we call "penetration" and is CRUCIAL.
With common rules an 8 deck game needs 88% dealt to be playable.

You were correctly advised by Bodarc, to study "Blackjack Attack"
"Playing The Pros Way" is a subtitle. It MUST be mentioned that what
you are looking for is the 3rd edition, preferably in paperback.
Do NOT obtain an earlier edition.
