    Which game?

Hey guys, just finished my lv trip and I'm on the "road" (more like plane) and was wondering which game to play for the next 4 days. using hi-lo I'll-18 side count aces.

6.5-7.25/8 Decker PEN at $10 min; seems non sweaty until you start a 20-30:1 spread. Liberal rules, but no surrender. House edge is around .70%

1.5/2 DD PEN at $50 min. $2000 max. Nsur. NDAS. DO,10&11 (no soft). House edge is around .75%. I plan on going $50 to 2 x $400 for 8:1 spread and semi Wong at neg tc at end of shoe with others. But the table is empty so I'll probably play all HU.

I have a $20K trip BR but losing it isn't really a nice thought as I've spent the past couple months grinding this out. Which game should I play. According to cvcx I'm estimated to make a $30-40 hourly at the shoe VERSUS the estimated ??? DD?

Sorry never seen a DD that doesn't allow soft doubling.

Which game should I play? Assuming zero heat for both games given the stated spread ratio. I guess what's important here isn't really the hourly but the risk / reward. Given a 20:1 spread, I'll make a very profitable return given the $10 min and the risk towards my BR (like 2%). Given the 8:1 spread at the dd ill probably have a (5-7%) BR ROR.

I understand when comparing these things variables like risk tolerance come into play, but what do you believe is the most logical. Most importantly, anyone know a $50 min with 8-1 spread with the stated DD rules hourly? Should be less than $125

Thanks wasn't thinking. Just finished a very disgusting session of 18 max bets lost. I sorta overbet my roll too... Yikes the struggle to grind and rebuild for the upcoming week will be mentally tough.

I have a similar choice at the one local casino, a DD game with doubling 9-11, no soft doubling or doubling after splits, H17 and no S and a 6 deck game with 1.2 cut off, standard rules, no S. The DD game is $25 minimum while the 6 deck is s $10 minimum. I opt for the DD game primarily because it has no side bets and a s less crowded. It's a tough game and I am barely winning after 8 months.

If the 6 deck game is available for heads up, I start there but it does not take long before Ploppies sit down, start playing side bets and I move to the DD game.

i just look at it as a practice place between short trips to a bigger city with better games.

I can't figure out if I want to play a 8 decker with a house edge of .70% but lets me spread so freaking crazy, that it's so profitable. The problem is the table always has players playing the side bets in stupid numbers, I probably get like 60 rounds an hour.

On the other hand, the DD is a $50 min, my ROR goes up to borderline uncomfortable (but I'll still do it) and 80% of the time, I get to play solo heads up against the dealer. **btw how many rounds is HU in DD play** so I know what input into CVCX next time. I just did 100 rounds.

Similar house edges. One has lower ROR, the other has way more heat (i assume since its in the HL room) and increased ROR. worth or not?

I would think 125-150 depending on the speed of the dealer for a 2D heads up.

Don has an old post on bj21 where he advises 95 for 4 players and around 80 for 5 players but that's a 6D game.

Also the Wiz has a general chart here: http://wizardofodds.com/ask-the-wizard/136/

Thanks good info to know to update a better estimate of the actual EV. With that said, if you had the option of the 8 decker liberal rules with very wide tolerable spread or the DD which allows a very lucrative 8-1 spread (from what I believe) with horrible rules (DO 10/11 etc) but with amazing PEN for a DD, which would you choose? Also ROR on the 8 decker is slim to none, where as the DD i do have some uncomfortable RoR if i run bad.

If you're still in the stages where you "sorta overbet your roll" I suggest playing the 8d with a lower RoR.

Also, if you plan on going from $50 to 2x$400 you're playing with a 16 unit spread rather than 8.

I show the 2D game is much better SCORE and EV wise but only you can decide if a higher ROR is worth it.
You have CVCX, can't you look at the results and decide?

On the first screen, the rules screen, you'll see 4 tabs: Surrender, Double, Split and Blackjack. Click the Double tab and you'll see your choices there.
