    quick back offs

what do you do when you can't get a game in a certain region and you get an immediate back off upon entering a casino- within a 250 mile radius ?

I realize it's easier said than done, but go to a different state or area, or choose to lay low for a while.
You don't score, until you SCORE!

"Laying Low" as suggested by "blackjackomaha" is close to a waste of time.
"Close to" because once in a casino's data base, you remain there infinitely.
Your photos generally remain on the Pit Boss' podium for at least 6 months,
    and available to Surveillance forever.

I've heard the contrary from several reliable sources. According to Cellini, a picture stays up for a short time (a week or two) and then goes into a binder where it basically doesn't matter at all. If surveillance is digging through the binder for your picture, you're already in trouble. Also, I've heard from several reliable sources that "passive" facial recognition does not work very well at all. If surveillance can get a good close-up with the pan-and-sweep and compare it to another good close up, they can get a match. But they don't routinely pick people off just walking in the door, and a change as simple as glasses can throw this off.

Lastly, one of the major databases looks almost exclusively at recent rated backoffs for their warnings to casinos. Unrated backoffs and old backoffs mean very little, as you will simply be thrown into the back of a binder with thousands of people, many of whom are not even APs.

Is this hi stakes bj? $1000 plus /hand? So players with under $200 bets should not worry too much?

You have to watch for easily identifiable features like tattoos, jewelry, favorite clothes etc. I know someone that was preempted from play because of a piece of distinctive jewelry he tended to wear.

I just ran into this recently. My wife sat down to play at the table with me and the dealer asked about her tattoos. Said she had seen her walk by the weekend before and was wondering what they stood for. So i guess these people are paying more attention than I thought, my wife doesn't play that often and I don't remember ever seeing this dealer.

4 years ago I was picked off by a piece of jewelry that I had been wearing that matched an old photo.
Security, it appeared, was roaming about the casino with a folio full of photos of undesirables such as I.
I was detained for 2 hours. I had not been in that casino for about 18 months !

When you play as "a refusal", meaning without a player's Card, the pit critter will "assign" you a name and add remarks,
e.g. "short skinny guy, Red Shirt, tatted up arms." This makes it easy for them to note your movements between tables
    and the cage, etc.

The OP asked about problems based on flyers, not based on getting busted previously at the same casino. That was where I disagreed with you. Hell, if it's the same surveillance or shift they could bust you 10 years out from the last time they busted you.

No. I am not playing $100 a hand nor am I playing black only . Yes I do wager more than $200, my max is 2x that .

After a few quick backoffs I decided that I would no longer Wong out on the trip. Well I got a -16 RC with one other person at the table, min bet min bet min bet ... Tap "you are no longer welcome to play bj here" I wanted to say are you fucking serious. But I tucked my chin colored up and raced out of site in my rental. To show up to a place 55-60 miles away and they let me play for legit a quarter of a deck and gave me the boot.

thanks for the suggestion Simi. I am working on a change of looks.
