I've played in Germany a couple of times. I think all houses of chance there are operated by big operator chains, and everywhere I've been has had 1-2-6 Dyson vacuum cleaners on the blackjack tables. If you want a recommendation from me it'll be save your money and wait until you get back to the UK, and then head for London.

When I played in the casino in Bremen, when it was situated in the Böttcherstraße (it's now moved down to a site on the river front), shortly after 9.00pm-ish I sat down at "the" (only) blackjack table (having a CSM - shame on me), and there was a five minute delay while the floor supervisor went off to find the key to unlock the chip tray. Apparently I was the first blackjack player of the evening.

As Flash says, if you're planning to count cards then you're in the wrong country.

The train ride up the Rhine from Düsseldorf to Frankfurt is quite beautiful. Even though I did it with a hangover.
