It appears that there is a new Surveillance Director at Cosmopolitan. Is it possible all the quick backoffs are going to be a thing of the past?
I wouldn't assume anything. It will take a major policy change coming from the Director of Table games. Jeff instituted policies and procedures for the agents that created a culture of intolerance that will be difficult to change without a specific effort. In effect, sweaty casinos will continue to sweat unless they make a conscious decision to stop sweating.
If I was the general manager or human resources manager of a casino, I wouldn't hire Jeff Murphy, the previous Surveillance Director at Cosmopolitan, regardless of his experience and expertise.
There are eight typos on his LinkedIn page -- completely unacceptable in the business world to have that many typos on a resume or professional page. Remember: first impressions.

What you are obviously missing is that this isn't the "business world," where an asshole with a double-digit IQ like Murphy couldn't be a bathroom attendant. This is the casino management world, where being lobotomized is a prerequisite for getting any job. Every announcement for a casino-management opening concludes with: "Only morons should apply."
