Previn Mankodi v Trump Marina Associates

I know this case was sent to the district court in 5/13. Has it been settled yet?

Thanks for the link to the court proceedings. I don't know how it turned out (if it has been settled yet), but it was a very interesting read.

Bodarc - I checked out the N.J. District Court (federal trial court) case, with the action being remanded to the lower court after the Order was entered by the US Court of Appeals, Third Circuit.

The parties filed a Stipulation of Dismissal (Document 53 in court docket) on September 11, 2014. Thereafter, the District Court accepted the stipulation, and closed the file. So, only the parties are privy to the terms agreed upon for dismissal (presumably including any financial terms for settlement).

Thanks rmwlaw. After Trump Marina Assoc found out who Previn Mankodi was, I'll bet they didn't dare let this go to trial after what happened the last time Bob Nersesian and Grosjean & Co got together.

I guess that stops a book called Exhibit TAA.

What do you mean? I have to send back my copy of his manuscript? Just kidding.

But if there were one, you know many here would rush to get their hands on at least 2 copies. 1 to read, the other to sell for at least $5k on ebay.

It was named this because when Grosjean sued Caesar's Palace, their attorney introduced "Beyond Counting" as their first piece of evidence. Therefore it was entered as Exhibit C (for Caesars) and AA because it was their first entry. Grosjean then used that to rename his next edition as "Exhibit CAA"

You as an attorney will appreciate that I think.

Since Trump Marina settled with Mankodi out of court, they won't introduce evidence called "Exhibit TAA". That's why I said it stopped a book called "Exhibit TAA". Just one of my weird views of things. LOL

Bodarc - REALLY? You missed the snark in my comment? You missed where I typed "JUST KIDDING"?

Guess I will have to start using emoticons, since between your dry sense of humor (I suspect) and mine, you missed my being facetious/sarcastic. And I took pride in my friends and family calling me Captain Obvious all these years. Oh well, back to the legal mine (work to get done before tomorrow morn).
