What the hell does "playing colors on poker (red or black)" mean ?
I've played more than a little poker, and have never heard of such.

Incidentally, you cannot justify your reducing the pen' to 2 hands.
Betting on flop colors. if 2 suited you win the bet. if 3 suited monotone then its 2x bet etc. As for my pen reduction, I think we're thinking too much about whether or not I acted properly or not - I think what's important was the fact that I hosted a game with an edge that I was not familiar with (which was why I was disappointed). As for the act itself; I think the proper course of action is to say I got enough action and stop hosting it and call it a night (it was a poker night after all) - but I still wanted to "flip" my way back, thus if there were any takers for big bets off the top, I was willing to flip.
I'm actually a little disappointed I didn't get to update you guys after the math was explained. Sadly I think he realized that I knew it was a winning bet (I'm pretty up against him in random bets for $250-1000 each). He changed the bet and said he'll take me at TC-3 instead and while I tried to bait a little bit into TC-4 it didn't work. So much for that bet =X
True story. He was willing to bet me $1K that he could pull out $23K in 3 months of play in Vegas for the summer playing only 2/5 NL (not an unreasonable bet, but he's not crushing where he can play at the 5/10 level so it's def was in my favor). My favorite bet, $500-1000 that I would be banned within 20 sessions at my local casino. Always joke that these bets were super dead for him afterwards.
Sounds like you just cannot accept the fact of losing. Unfortunately in our way of life, you will always inevitably have a losing session; nobody wins every time. All you can do is put yourself in +EV spots, face your mistakes, be honest and true to yourself, and put the money out good with low RoR. Life goes on...
