    He had Las Vegas Strip rules (s17, ds, late surrender and resplit aces) he could request courtesy shuffles periodically and get rid of negative shoes. Those two things there if you add a 1-2 spread give the player around a 0.4% advantage. That doesn't even begin to address the non-counting ways he got an edge.

    So his statement in the documentary that he did NOT count cards is NOT true??

    He specifically stated that one of rules was that dealer errors (and they were made) but maybe not that many but they WERE to be resolved IN his favor. I'm not saying he disclosed everything in the documentary (definitely NOT on the GWAE program) but it would be nice to know just what the real rules were. I know that he made a big point about stating that he did NOT have the money they stated as his upper loss rebate limit ($500,000) to lose. So was one of the reasons that he was lucky (or variance was in his favor) enough to begin in a positive manner?
