You can learn something from every book

A while back Glen Wiggy gave free PDF's of his book "1536 Free Waters and Other Blackjack Endeavors".

Last night before I left the casino, I asked the waitress for 2 bottles of water. I brought them home. I figure they must have added at least .002% to my EV.

Just imagine what this can amount to in a year! Prob better than a side count of aces.

"Prob better than a side count of aces."

    Not even close.
You can recycle bottles of waters and cans for about five cents each in most states, so $0.10 for the two bottles.

Assuming a player's bankroll is only $1300, and a running count of one with one deck remaining and one surplus ace, the player would add two to the running count, arrive at a TC of 3, and would bet $10.01.
With a 1% expectation, the player is expected to make $0.1001 from that hand, which is greater than $0.10 for the two bottles of water.
Instead of having a break even game at TC 1 and expected to neither lose or win in the long run, the player has an expectation of 1% in this case.

Now imagine a larger bankroll, more occurrences of ace surpluses, and surpluses of more than one.
