    Policy question on spammy blogs

On a near daily basis, I get e-mails from people willing to pay to write an article for the site. This is now one of the more common methods of advertising – writing fluff pieces with a link to buy something. I always reject these offers as I don’t want the site cluttered with ads that look like articles.

If you look at the blogs, two recent blog entries have been added that are clear advertisements. I haven’t deleted them because, fluff as they may be, they are, at least, not gibberish. Although, I still don’t like the concept of ads disguised as “articles”.

I’d like to hear the members’ comments on this.

If it was an exceptionally informative article it may be useful. The problem with starting it is that 99.9% of the articles will be useless or just a rehash of something easily located in the archives of the important bj sites.

If you start allowing it, you will soon be covered up with advertised articles that mean nothing.

I agree with Bodarc, if allowed at all, there needs to be some meaningful information contributed or at least something known but given in an easily digestible form. The bar has already been set high for this website, and it's one of the reasons why I come here, so hopefully the bar can still be kept high.
