    More CSMs Appearing

I have been noticing more CSMs appearing in stores that I frequent. Although I can still find an ample amount of hand shuffled and ASM games, I find it unsettling that this trend is occurring. I have no solid data on what percentage of tables have CSMs, nor can I provide a detailed breakdown by casino or geographic region in the US.
Has anyone else been noticing this, or is it just my paranoia?
I want to speak out, but at a recent session, I listened to another player complain about this and my initial reaction is that he must be an AP. If I thought that, I imagined with the pit must have thought.
I would like to take a stand, but certainly do not need any extra heat.

I only frequent a couple casino very infrequently but one of them actually no longer uses them and hand shuffles now. Maybe it's your area. I know my sample size is so small you can't even take into consideration but thought I would throw that out there.

In the past they used cheating dealers to get the money. Now they use 150 hand per hour CSMs 6:5 and side bets and people are too stupid to care. Reflects our times.

Low stakes players are manipulated into playing against CSM's.

There is nothing intrinsically wrong with this if the player is a

Basic Strategist, or a hunch player, or a progression player.

Obviously the real reason that the casinos can pay to lease

these infernal contraptions is the increased hands per h
    our.

Two casinos that I frequent previously installed some CSM machines. They have since been removed. I don't know the reason, but the two possibilities that come to mind are malfunction of the equipment, or people wouldn't play them. In any event, they are gone now and good riddance.

Yes, in theory the hands per hour are increased but the hands per hour are actually decreased if nobody is willing to sit at the table! Want to stop the proliferation of CSM's (and even ASM's because I hate them too)? Simply don't play them. Tell your friends not to play them. Tell the world at large that they really suck. Pass out pamphlets on the strip warning of the evils of CSM's!!!Hahaha If there are people willing to play them they will offer them.

CSM's are expensive and are leased by casinos plus a maintenance contract. This is why some casinos chose to eliminate or have fewer ones and not because they lose business. My understanding is that the cost is over $2000 per month.

While it is true that there is a preference for ASM or handshuffles, if there were only CSM,'s people will still come if alternatives don't exist.

I have 2 stores not to far away. 1 has almost all CSM's while the other has all hand shuffle. No other real difference between the 2 stores. the one with the hand shuffle is very busy filling dozens of tables the other just has a few tables they can get people to play and those are rarely crowded. You talk to the people at the crowded hand shuffle casino about the one a few miles up the road you find out they only go there if the first is too crowded or they need a change in luck. They say the CSM's just don'y play right, The flow of the cards aren't natural as the streaks that make their chance of beating the game don't happen. When their losing they like to lower their bets or find a new table and when their winning they like to press their bets. The side bet poppies also say how bad the side bets are off the top and only when the deck gets depleted some do the feel they are more likely to win. They are avoiding the CSM's as well. Maybe a small number of poppies will play anyway but nobody goes to the casino alone. They always travel with others. You lose anyone in the group you lose the group.

interesting that a good number of ploppies won't play CSMs, but they have no problem with 6:5

Apparently 6:5 doesn't mess with the natural flow of the cards.
