Using a fake ID?

Basically looking for peoples input on this. Ive been looking at the laws on fake ids and haven't really been able to find much. What I have found seems to say if it is a replica state issued ID it is illegal to possess and use. But I haven't seen anything saying its illegal to posess just a generic fake id that doesn't look like a state issued id. The reason I'm asking is because I don't want casinos knowing who I am. Sometimes at the entrance there is a person there that checks peoples ids. Some casinos also actually scan the id in a little machine. Usually I just walk by and kind of give them a nod but I'm by no means old enough to the point where they will automatically think I'm old enough and I could see some door people potentially stopping me and asking for an id in which case I don't want to give it to them. What if I just whiped out some generic id with fake info and my picture on it and in big letters it said, age 29 on it lol. Would this work or are they required to only accept state issued ids? Or even just make a random ID that looks legit but not a state licensed id. would this work?

I have been ID scanned at casinos where I am barred. The systems were not linked as I had no issues. The only purpose of the scan is to check that the ID is real, so your fake probably would not work anyway. In short this is a terrible idea.

Even if this were 100% legal, it's not something I would want to explain to a jury with prison time on the line. Whatever you do, realize that "it looks bad" can easily lead to an arrest and even a criminal conviction.
