    Shoeless Orleans?

All of a sudden the Orleans, the Boyd Gaming locals casino, has no shoe games, only DD handheld and CSMs. This is better for players, isn't it? Or is there something else going on. CSMs' -EV is less than that of a 6-deck shoe (0.62 instead of 0.64) and DD's is way less than a shoe (0.46 vs. 0.64)

Glad they still pay 3:2 on naturals!

I would be interested to hear what you all think of their DD games and dealers. Yes, I know they have the skankiest hos.

I had no heat per SE - place was pretty busy at the time - cashed out approx 2400 - cage lady said she needed to verify with the pit - very fast phone call, more likely with surveillance - I'm sure they took my mug shot, though it was a downward gaze.

At many places large enough denomination chips must be confirmed you got them legit. A call to the pit to confirm you just colored up is all that is required. Many times at these places if you are playing rated they will call you by name at the cage when you cash out because you are on their computer as just cashing out. That may include a picture already from the pit. I don't know why you don't assume a picture is taken every time you cash out. In an ideal world you never know they are tracking purple chips at the cage for whether you got them legit or a certain size chip exchange at the cage regardless of denomination. They have CTR requirements and need to keep track of a person doing multiple chip exchanges in a day. If you are not playing rated picture identification is the logical option. Often if you are playing unrated the lack of a card can really slow down the cash-out process over a certain criterion.

Orleans hasn't had shoes for a while now. Double deck is highly dealer dependent. They aren't an action house, but they do take action a bit better than Gold Coast or Sun Coast probably because much of the Stardust management landed there when it was shut down. (not really saying much since Stardust wasn't particularly tolerant eitber)

Forgot to mention, the big problem at Orleans is chip cashing if playing as a refusal. Pain in the ass.
