Here is what bjarg means:
You and I flip coins for $100. Everytime I win, you pay me $100. If I lose, I pay you $99.50.
You jump your bet to $200, so if I win, you pay me $ 200. If I lose, I'll pay you $199.00.
You jump your bet again to $400. If I win, you pay me $400. If I lose, I'll pay you $398.00
You drop your bet back to $100. So again if I win, you pay me $100 and on losing, I'll pay you $99.50.
If you are playing at a disadvantage, no matter how much you bet or how you jump your bets, you are still at a disadvantage. See the drift?
